She played herself by taking her frustration/anger with white supremacy out on Bruno tho. In that context she was wrong. Would you be ok with non blacks telling black kids that they can’t learn/play/perform classical music because it’s associated with white culture?

I don’t know why they let these blavity c00ns have any media presence. The shyt they talk about: cisgender, cishet, cultural appropriation, intersctionality etc doesn’t affect 99.9% of black people, and nobody outside social media even knows what those terms mean nor do they give a fukk yet they’re treated like the community’s mouthpiece.

I disagree.
As of right now, he is the biggest, well-known non-black artist in music that is crossing over to R&B/Soul — and he is different in the sense that “some” may see him as ‘black” or mixed with black. And Bruno and his team knows that as well - and he plays it up.
She is not — nor did she tell him or any artist not to do a certain genre. She did state facts that whites and other non-black people like their R&B/Soul and other known traditional Black music genres sung and performed by non-black people.

As long as he’s not claiming to be black or artificially enhancing his looks to seem black then there’s no valid criticism here. It’s just hating. There’s no reason that blacks have to be mad at Bruno. He pays homage to blacks and surrounds himself with blacks. The problem is with the system that props him up over black artists just as talented. The problem is with the public that would support him more than a black artist. None of that is his fault.
There’s a reason that you didn’t answer my question. You have to look at this from a 360 perspective. I would never accept accept some non black person telling my kids that shouldn’t “appropriate” certain things just because they’re considered to belong to other cultures.
Exactly. That’s why they’re trying to make her rant go viral. They know it’s emotional hypocritical bullshyt that can easily be refuted. They use this argument to deflect from the valid argument that she made earlier about whites preferring to consume “black” music from non black entertainers. That’s a a valid point that points to the systematic racism that blacks are subjected to in every aspect of this society.
This is why it’s important to check your emotions. I suspect that’s hard when your feelings are hurt over not being accepted tho
If you listen, that rant was rooted in pain. She wasn’t looking at it from a game perspective. Her feelings were hurt at the realization that whites like non blacks more than they like us. That’s where the anger at Bruno comes from. At end of the day, black liberals just want to be accepted.
