Remember when they tried to have a TV sequel to Boomerang🤢🤮
I gave it a shot and the first season was straight. But it suffered from no involvement from Eddie and Waithe going overboard with the gay stuff. I'm not even an "agenda" cat but that shyt was unnecessary for this story. shyt went completely off the rails in season 2.

I don't think that this show will be successful.

Black culture is just not in the same headspace now as it was during the late '80s and early '90s when A Different World was on air.

We aren't on the same page like back then but HBCU applications and attendance are way up to there is a group of young folks this could appeal to.

What the problem is brehs? :lupe: I been waiting for this for over a decade and got to the point that I accepted it wouldnt happen. Please dont tell me they fukked it up already somehow.

No nostalgia glasses for me on this :manny:

It's similar to the Bel Air show. There are lots of topics to touch on within that university space...but whether or not the writers/directors/actors are allowed to delve into them with the required honesty? That's the deciding factor. Otherwise this becomes another yaaasss kween/LMNOP/men bad exercise that will be forgotten in a month.

Show tryna eat like Bel Air

Hopefully they don't go overboard with the gay stuff, Bel Air got flack for doing too much and eased up fortunately.
