They finished the senior year season with all of the episodes that were filmed with the OG cast. Then NBC ordered more episodes and Kelly and Jesse didn't want to return so they filled in their slots with Tori. When NBC broadcasted the season they mixed in Tori episodes with Kelly and Jessy episodes so the whole thing was a big mess and very confusing
:ohhh:
I must not have realized this when I was younger. I recently caught a couple episodes in syndication back to back that had this going on. I was wondering what the deal was. Now I know:obama:

figure out who they girl in this episode grew up to be

EDIT: Nevermind I know now

And :wow: at the little African-centric boy sonning Whitley on her last name and shyt.

A different world and I'm surprised this isn't a landslide. The depth of the topics they touched upon on that show is just incredible, my personal favorite of all time and I didn't even come up in that era but I watch it daily.

Can't embed here but the re-enactment of Malcolm/MLK is :wow:

yeah this was the episode where Terrell was ready bust his gun :bustback:

but there's no comparison, Different World touched on a whole nother level of depth on the issues and topics

Tisha Campbell having that House In Virgina episode..:sadcam:
Freddie damn near getting date raped, and Dwayne Wayne :cape:to the rescue
Blair Underwood giving his life to Uncle Sam just cause they paid for his college and being scared shytless

That episode with Scumbag Dean Cain playing the racist, and ****** being spray painted on Dwayne & Ron's car :pacspit:

Waaaaay more classics, too many to list...

I watched "A Different World" more than I did "Saved By the Bell" but both had different yet significant impact on my life. I was 7-10 when "A Different World" first aired, so although I watched it because it was a black show, it didn't reflect or affect my reality at that time(My uncle ended up going to Langston University though because of that show and because he got a band scholly). I was too young to comprehend the importance of that show and what effect it SHOULD of had on my life.

I didn't pick up "Saved By the Bell" until after "A Different World" was over and Tori was written off the show(I didn't know who she was until much later). Anyways, SBTB spoke a little bit more because I was approaching my teens and I could relate a bit more.

Both shows have their place.

I didn't appreciate A Different world when it was out, because I was way to young to care about black college life. Saved by the bell I suppose was more entertaining to me since I was closer getting into high school as opposed to college. I did order the box set of a different world years ago and watched them all.
Gotta call :duck: on that one, or ask where u ordered the box set from. Cause there is no official box set out. I been searching.
