Putting that cac show in the same breath as A Different World is an insult

...ADW made a 90s black kid look forward to the prospect of college

Breh you see how dudes on this site bash HBCUs? Many of those who do that grew up around cacs who demeaned black institutions; that's why some of them can't relate to A Different World. The black college campus life is unfamiliar and uncomfortable for them.

If it were on NF, it isn't at this point :'( but Saved By the Bell is...

So I just turned on Hulu, they have different shows that they highlight at the top of the screen, one of the first shows to flash across the screen is A Different World. That's actually kind of creepy. I wonder if that happened because of cookies (mind you Hulu is on my TV).

A different world for me x100000. It was a compelling show that shed light on alot of black issues going on at the time that are to a certain degree still relevant. Not to mention the show was unapologetically celebratory of black culture. We'll probably never see a show like that again for a long time to come.

"different world" easily. people better take those childhood nostalgia glasses off. SBTB is still great for what it was, but "different world" is up there with the goats.

"saved by the bell" was the goat after-school sitcom tho. thats when i used to watch it. the re-runs on the UPN syndicate back in elementary. i rarely watched it on NBC. i watched the college years on NBC tho.

speaking of which, a few years later in my middle school days, there was a brief period where i used to watch sweet valley high and some show called malibu something on UPN darn near everyday. DONT JUDGE. those white sisters(they may have been twins) on sweet valley high gave me the fever.

Why are folks in here callin' California Dreams corny?

Don't you know that was DA SHEEIT??

Anyway - Different World was a better show,
but i'll watch the Saved By The Bizzell eps at the Malibu Sands over it.

california dreams wasnt bad. but the only episode i remember was when the black bul's homie from his old neighborhood got killed and his man's wanted him to ride. alot of classic un-intentional comedy on that one.

props to anyone that can find that.
