I used to think that, then I realized it would only be women that would be disgusted, if it's male paramedics that find me, they'd probably me for going out like that.

Was just walking to the coffe station and just collapsed no ugh grasping of the chest or anything just fell like a Ton of bricks.

Just lying there no twitching no breathing, everyone panicking , crying, big wigs came down. Someone who knew CPR ran into action started doing it, giving mouth to mouth, while Simone else is checking his pulse still nothing were all like breathe breathe but still Nothing then he finally breathed, they turned him on his side and his breaths are so so loud now like he's wheezing.

Then he stopped breathing again, firefighters and ambulance came now with their machines and we got ushered out of there for a good 15 min they were giving him CPR he started breaking again put him on a stretcher and took him to the hospital

No one knows if he died or anything yet

Man that's crazy; but that wasn't just a heart attack, sounds as. Though he had a cardiac arrest. If that happens to some one around u the next best thing besides calling 911 and doing CPR is getting an AED machine. If dude had a rhythm that can be shocked it could've saved his life

I hope he's alright. Now, they recommend "no mouth to mouth" resuscitation. I was just reading an article about it the other day, I believe it was on the front page of Yahoo or CNN. It helps, because some people are hesitant to help because of the mouth to mouth aspect and they say ultimately, the person isn't much better off because of that component. They recommend rhythmic pressure be placed between the rib cage of the patient (heel of your hand, with the other hand on top...fingers locked) until emergency services shows up.

Mouth to mouth is mainly not recommended due to the risk of disease (and likely the fact that most won't do it correctly). Doesn't mean that the breaths part isn't important. It just means that we know that getting the heart pumping again with chest compressions as quickly as possible is the most important thing.

That had to be scary to see. My nieces cousin fell at their bday, hit her head and was out cold. I was shook and I wasnt even in the area. Our fam and friends tended to her, few nurses were there. She passed out again when 911 got there. Shes ok now, but I know how you feel.

People never know how to react to things. Someone had a seizure at the mall, the lady threw a teddy bear at the person to snap them out of it like that was going to work.

The worst was this kid had a seizure on a field trip when I was in middle school, when everyone got back they were talking about it(I didnt go). They were calling him "little seizure" the rest of the day..smh
