Most the shyt I've heard aside from these just seems like boring backpack rap.. So you'd prob be a huge fan
Need to hear more of Afro before can judge. Your next comment was silly, you're talking to somebody who has an extremely diverse taste in music. You seem to be equating anything lyrical, intelligent, conscious with "boring backpack". I'm a fan of artists such as..
2Pac
Scarface
Z-Ro
Cormega
Nas
Biggie
Big Pun
Fat Joe
Bizzy Bone
Tragedy Khadafi
Mobb Deep
Wu Tang Clan
Spice 1
Rappin 4 Tay
B Legit
Thug Life
Public Enemy
Kool Moe Dee
LL Cool J
Kool G Rap
Slick Rick
Jay Z
Eazy E
DJ Quik
Ice Cube
Willie D
CNN
Queen Latifah
And many others, none of those would be considered "boring backpack". So what you were implying was widely and drastically off the mark, what I judge is on quality. Even someone who you may consider "boring backpack" such as K-Rino for instance, is a street artist, but unfortunately you probably wouldn't know this due to your own ignorance, Stories From The Black Book was highly regarded in the streets, as was Danger Zone, and if you look at the themes also you see what I mean. That's why artists such as Scarface, Z-Ro, Bun B, Killer Mike, Willie D and many others who are also in a similar vein hold him in such a high regard.
I listen to mad artists, Blu, Fashawn, Boo Yaa Tribe, AZ, Afu Ra, Gangstarr, Melle Mel, Brand Nubian, Beanie Sigel, Heavy D, Canibus, Ras Kass, Ice T, Ja Rule, Jay Electronica, Lakey The Kidd, Lauryn Hill, Lowkey, Organized Konfusion, Mase, Rakim, Skinnyman, Shyne, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Dr Dre.
So these terms you try to use in a derogatory manner don't apply and are also things you are labelling people as because of your own personal preferences, boring is subjective, don't even know what you mean by backpack exactly nowadays because people use it in so many different ways.
But as I said, your implication was incorrect....
