Ha, this is crazy, i had 3 or 4 gay guys in my old work place, i never made gay jokes around them tho lol i kept that shyt to myself, aint letting no phag mafia fuk up my day

you can't just go there with it though. At some point a man has to restrain himself from having another man lose his career over a joke. The dude going through life getting everybody fired because they are different then them is just a miserable piece of shyt. People in this thread were trying to clown you for making a big deal about this but the truth is that it IS an adjustment. I just graduated college two years ago and I'm still adjusting to the corporate world. I've done a good job on being careful how and when I voice an opinion on issues but its tough. During college I held various positions, I used to work in a warehouse packing boxes and before that I was a mechanic. You can imagine the type of language and topics that would go on in places like these. I had to completely go into PC mode once I left that part of my life behind.
Point being if you're used to being able to clown around at work and say whatever you want however you want to say it, it sucks to lose that.
I wont even go into detail about how pretty much anything can be taken in the wrong context. Even asking about someones weekend in the wrong tone can warrant an email from HR.
Edit: Actually I bet if you asked this guy how is weekend was in a joking tone I can guarantee that you'd be hearing from HR shortly after.
