Unless you get a degree in a few fields, most of college is a scam.

This isn't really surprising from the republicans as they've been corporate lapdogs for the longest, and yes, I pretty much consider most schools 'corporations', especially with the prices they charge.

Paying what you owe is correct. The point is a lot of people simply do not have the means to start paying (this is categorically true for most people born in the 80's and 90's). And telling poor people to not get any vocational training/college is foolish in today's society.

It was a choice to get student loans, and being able to walk away with us taxpayers on the hook isn't an option.
You have to pay what is due, so all the "think of the poor" means shyt to me.
garnish wages and make people pay what they owe.
You aren't helping anyone by letting people get these massive worthless loans and then walk away from them.

Only thing that's deflationary at the moment is gas and that's going to change by 2020. I don't understand why some of you think a person shouldn't have to pay what they owe?
Our tax dollars are used to subsidize the student loan payments, pay what you owe.
Better yet, don't go to college and get in massive debt in the first place.

You are a human being with the ability to make decisions for the good or for the bad. You can choose instant gratification or delay that and work for long term gratification.

You make a decision, you are responsible for that decision, period.
You get a worthless major and take out money for it, you still have to pay that money back and its not wrong, evil, or selfish for those of us who have our money being used to subsidize your poor decision, to say no, you will pay what you owe.

This already happens in Australia. If you earn more than $900 a week, $300 is automatically deducted from your payment and then tax is calculated on the whole $900. So you're losing $600 out of $900 on repayments and tax. shyt's fukked
