not to jump into the future already, but Memphis has drafted well. Wells is a keeper. They're just getting to a point where financially Ja and JJJ might not be worth the price tag, so either rescue a distressed asset (LaMelo, Zion, of that ilk) or you become the Hawks.

Ziaire was a whiff. I'm not gonna rip them for Roddy/LaRavia/Chandler. Even in hindsight, there wasn't much left to choose from, they were educated guesses that didn't work, and even in that draft they plucked Vince Williams outta there. I do remember them aggressively trying to get OG and Bridges and nobody bit. GG in 2023 was a great swing for the fence and still might be.

I do respect their process given where they draft. Ziaire was the main whiff just cuz they overrated what Ziaire could do.
