Chicago will continue being stuck where they are with Giddey leading them tho. And if they somehow luck into adding better offensive talent, Giddey eventually looks like he did in OKC when SGA, Williams and Chet and everyone else emerged.

Giddey needs to be a better volume spot up shooter to work next to legit on ball scoring talent IMO

Yeah, that young “ason Kidd” / Rajon Rondo pg archetype has had its days numbered for a while now.

Nowadays pretty much all aspiring contending teams have a 1st-team All-NBA caliber player/elite scorer as the primary ball handler. From Brunson to Jokic, and every position inbetween (Donovan/ SGA/ Harden/ Luka/ LeBron/ Tatum/ Giannis, etc).

Any guard who’s not that will inevitably have to move around or integrate that Derek Fisher spot up role to their game.

Trading JJJ should absolutely be on the table. If Edey and GG can mask Zion defensively, I wouldn't be against this, but they'd have to do a lot of homework on Zion because if that backfires, they've Vancouver level bad again.
