@holidayinn21 yall played with heart at the end

Probably needed that 50 games ago but, I mean…
I'm not moved by this game. Maybe if they showed a little bit more fight, they wouldn't have been an 8th seed

They can't bring this group back next year

Grizzlies are a low iq team. Past 2 games were very winnable .

In the final seconds of this game , they were down 3. They took so much time to find a shooter that OKC just fouled them before they even got a shot up:mindblown: just run a simple catch and shoot 3 for T. rex arms Bane or Kennard and live with it

for the millionth time, Zach Edey is a BUM

8pts 8rebs in 33 mins.

haven;t watched this last game but i noticed when OKC had that blow out in game one he was getting picked on for his drop coverage. OKC was getting a lot in the mid range cause he'd not step out. At that moment I was like ok yeah I see why he might not be a good pick come playoffs. NBA players are too skilled. It's like how rudy is supposed to be this four time defensive player yet players keep picking on him.

Edey on the floor and how you use him defensively is a liability. He's not gonna play in space. He'll play drop and can't close out fast enough.

Yea, drop coverage on screens and PnRs is the bane of existence for traditional (see: slow-footed) 7fters trying to transition to the modern era.

We've seen it in real time with Rudy, who is basically Mutumbo 2.0. Those two plus Ben Wallace have 12 DPotY trophies between them but would be borderline unplayable for some teams/matchups today. It was barely 5 years ago where you couldn't really argue against Rudy's pedigree as a DPotY type guy, and now he's seen as a mockery of the award.

Drop still works A LOT, you just need strong point of attack defenders which Memphis had none. Currently you have a weak defender and drop coverage, that's free points.

The Thunder played drop alot in the same series, but the guy guarding the ball is a threat to lock you up and then they over play every passing lane so you still don't get easy one pass away buckets if someone is beat initially until they can recover .

Grizzlies need an entire makeover, no part of their team is built for postseason play. Like in reality Bane would probably come off the bench for a real team. He starts and makes 200 million and was outplayed by Scottie Pippen making like 4 million to be the same scrappy undersized guard but with better defense

Id argue that Ben wallace had foot speed and was athletic. I think he'd be closer to a jarret Allen. Edey once I saw game one thought he was unplayable. They brought in Bagley after that and he had a good game. On offense they only using Edey to screen set so I don't see why they had him out there.

Ja's gone out bad. He was the most popular young hooper. Out here doing grenade tosses and played himself down into the play in only to face the legitimate best young guard and get blown out 4 and 0. Memphis had something going two years ago and they blew their window when they had something special. A big chunk of it is Ja's suspsensions and injury.
