1) anybody can google articles - but you can't and won't be able to google anything that disproves my argument:
it's impossible to track or store everybody in New York or Los Angeles's internet usage in real time. period.
in the time it took you to read this hundreds and thousands of web sites have been hit, texts/phone calls received and sent. <<<find me something that says this is possible

1) You are basically admitting you have no idea what you are talking about. We already know that. Its not impossible to track and store everyone in the US's metadata. The US government was found to be illegally doing just that, until they changed the law and made it legal for them to do, just that. They weren't doing targeted data searches, they were doing bulk collection on everyone.

2) The CIA FUNDED Facebook. So trying to talk about anything else other than the fact that the CIA FUNDED Facebook, has links to funding Google, and in bed with Twitter is irrevelant and poor attempt at deflecting. Period.

You aren't a representative of everyone on this forum, you are literally the only person in this thread arguing that the US government can't do what it has admitted to doing.

Breh, I've seen these videos before. The purpose of the NSA is to collect data Domestically. Post 9/11 paths were given so that law enforcement agencies could also use CIA tools when granted. There is a process for this. But like most things you're going to have breeches in protocol.

What are you so outraged about? How often are people's lives being destroyed over being caught up in these types of surveillance?

The government probably created the TOR network to hide the shyt it does to other nations and private individuals.

I dont support this. I don't support mass surveillance or invasion of privacy in any capacity. You tried to play off the NSA/CIA spying as national security. Breh, invading the privacy of every single American is not a national security issue. Its a privacy issue just like this is. The government is far more powerful than ISPs so when the government invades privacy its a much bigger problem. Cant understand why you're ok with the government having access to all of this info but not your ISP.

major difference. I've never supported the government spying on every citizen. what I have supported is the government having the tools to be able to spy on our enemies. I support this because I support the safe guards that are supposed to be in place to protect average citizens or every citizen from surveilled. When those safeguards fail I support them being fixed.

Similarly, I'm not against ISPs selling your data. What I am against is me not having to opt-in for the sake of "competition." it also seems to be another step to safeguard covert government surveillance.

Or used it. Or funded it. Still not overly concerning myself. Most of your information is readily available somewhere and someone has access to it. No need to give yourself false notions of security or privacy.

They still use it and work with Tor, they just have control of a number of entry nodes in the tor network.
Yes most of your information on servers is accessible, that side with a solid VPN you can hide who you communicate with, and with encryption you can hide what you are saying.

I clearly said theres a big privacy issue there but "in theory" it was a good idea for traffic flow. The other post you quoted clearly states how I feel about privacy and government intrusion. Put two and two together. Liking automated cars for their efficient traffic flow doesn't mean I want the government tracking where my vehicle is.
