XBOX being the "biggest draw" is not accurate. I bet by the time the xbox 360 and ps3 stop being manufactured the PS3 will have outsold the XBOX 360. It's pretty much neck and neck even with Sony's very slow start. This won't happen again and I expect Microsoft to fall clearly into second place next gen.

It's already happening in their other businesses. People love to get on Sony for their financial issues, but the one thing they have on their side is the gamer crowd. All the casuals like smooth3d will eventually flock to whatever is the most popular option anyway, their opinions don't hold as much weight as the hardcore crowd does. Nintendo has proven that you can appeal to the casuals and get away with it for one generation, but are facing reality right now as their sequel the Wii U has bombed so far.

It was noticeable, because Madden on PS3 was 30fps while the xbox version was 60fps
That was just one of many examples, but the hate is strong. So I have to be quiet about stuff like that around here

Never played it on X-Box but I watch somebody play it, shyt seemed like the same to me, maybe he felt different
with that said, Madden never lived up to this gen's expectation graphically or gameplay wise

if a football game was developed exclusively for ps3, it would look way better than Madden, thats just a fact

the thing that hurt this gen the most was too many games were multiplat, and you can argue the ps3 got the short end of the stick most of the time
but thats on the developers.

arkham city was the first game I played this gen, I thought it looked incredible, but now if I go back to look at I see all the imperfections in the graphics
after playing Last of Us and the latest God of War. It makes you thing if the game was developed only for ps3 how much better it would look

even great looking multiplat games like Max Payne 3 don't have that same polish, the clean glossiness of the ps3 exclusives

i could've been a difference on the sports game, but it wasn't noticeable
but I wonder how it would looked if the game was just made with the ps3 in mind
it'd probably look a whole lot better
however, 2k looks great on both systems

Xbox always had better graphics with 2k. i remember seeing Ray Allen on PS and thinking he was Sam Cassel

When did "an honest take"start meaning "dikkride my preference and see no positives in anything different". For some strange reason I thought an "honest take" would discuss the pros and cons of each system. Maybe I'm just old school and I'm not up to date with the latest terminology.

See once again I'm not dikkriding anything. All I did was say there's nothing to talk about in the sony camp. Instead attacking prove me wrong. The issue with MS has been brought up multiple times and has been discussed in other threads.

If you bring in history the cheaper console has not always prevailed. Gaming is not considered just for kids anymore. Price plays role but its not everything. People don't always buy the cheapest tv or computer. Some buy based on features and as of now X1 has more features.

It's kinda of more than just an interest, especially if you can't see that all this stuff goes both ways on here. It's been ramped up alot on the Sony side because MS policies and all their flip flopping on the product.

I got the PS4 preordered but haven't even owned a Sony console since the Ps1. I was all for MS till they just went all scitzo on the gaming industry.

Can't trust them right now even if the remove all their policies. But I do think that warrants some teasing and shyt because shyt like this doesn't usually happen every gen.

I agree "teasing" is fine. But what some is doing is borderline psychotic. I like a lively debate on both sides. As a side hustle I fix computers, so technology interested me in general. That why I speak on those topics. I owned Sega, Playstation, O.G. Xbox and 360. And I got both pre-ordered. Sony stans love to call me based because Im not blindly following the Ps4 propaganda.

Sony has had a history of better quality games coming from their studios than Microsoft for over 11 years now, yet somehow @Smooth3d the visionary is 100% confident that will change in 2013/2014?

Miss me with that whole "TV and Entertainment" nonsense Microsoft is trying to appeal to casuals like yourself. The TV is an antiquated way of consuming media that might drastically change with whatever the hell Apple is cooking up in Cuppertino. Hell the PS3 and 360 can already do netflix, hulu, and any of that other nonsense NOW. THAT is the selling point? Even with the fact that people are dumping cable at an alarming rate? What a terrible business idea

You can't conveniently try to pass off as a "casual gamer" because you have so much other things that occupy your time when people question you, but then on the flip side try to act like you are well informed that a thread like this somehow makes your view valid.

Halo is hands down the biggest franchise to come from either company in the last 11 years. Over the last 6-7 years games produced by M$ studios have sold more and been rated just as good if not better.

One thing I don't get is how some people act like these company's or your friends and hold a emotional attachment to them. Sony and MS are in the business to make money period. Sony is not your friend or care about you as a "gamer". Sony was on the verge of bankruptcy not to long ago, so they had to come correct. They let MS take the brunt of all the negative publicity and stay quite. Sony will have a lot the same policy and entertainment features as MS just less quality. I'm a smart person and can see through the BS. The only thing MS is guilty of is being honest and trying to move the industry forward. Where they messed up at is in the public relations dept. Its like trying to tell people the world is round 500 yrs ago. If people don't understand or comprehend it they will think you are crazy. MS has a vision on what they want to go. Honestly I feel like Sony doesn't, they are not trying to move anything forward. Sony wants you spend money on PSN but has not giving you any benefits for the added cost.

I have no problem if PS3/4 is your console of choice. The problem is when you are so emotionally tied to a company that will not acknowledge anything its competitor is doing well and not acknowledge the issues that are in your own camp. The PS4 is lacking a good exclusive games for launch compared to the X1 (Save for Killzone). The general public are not aware or concerned about all the little things we argue about. What they care about is bang for the buck and brand recognition. In the US Xbox is the bigger name, so came this holiday season when mom and dad look at these two systems and compare the overall capabilities the X1 is the bigger draw in my opinion. It has something for everybody in the family and that a strong advantage. In the end it will be like this gen that is coming to a close. I don't think neither one will be overall sales leader and will be very close. And that is a good thing for Sony.

I have both systems pre-ordered and I have to say I'm a little concerned on whats going on in Sony land. When I went to the official Sony thread all it was is X1 hating which is never a good sign. So at this point I'm seriously thinking about canceling my pre-order or flipping the PS4 because as of now. Sony has not proving to me as to why I should buy their system that will suit my needs. Now call me a Xbot in 3....2....1

1.) You don't play Madden to speak on it, but you try anyway because there is the internet where people voice shyt they can't really back up.
I play madden and especially 2013 Madden looks and plays different. But they all do. Only the ppl who never play it every year say otherwise.
