keep hating on me.

but you listen to the same lyrics about a ninja taking your bytch, riding around in a coup, with a rolex, off your sub stream. how you give someone money, and then them turn around and floss on you?

server: create a song about these hating ass goofies, hard 808 drums with intricate dark piano sounds, flat cords. 4/4 and add an intro about Stockholm syndrome. :mjlol:

That's admirable but you don't get it. Labels don't give a shyt about human expression so it's gonna get to a point where you wont anything new to listen to because AI's not stopping. And that's fine btw, these first week numbers show nobody's listening to all this new shyt compared to how music's been consumed in history, yeah metrics are different but that's partly why they had to change them. Nobody cares.

Labels don't care and you have producers Timbo & now Alchemist advocating for it, the artists are going to do whatever they get told for the check. Point is, there's not a lot stopping it from taking over and it's most likely already being used already in more ways than you know. There's the obvious like Kanye & Carti, then I'm sure there's the songs that used to have 2-3 extra producers to tighten things up that AI's already rolled over on. Naturally that'll lead to full AI production, then slowly, full AI artists like Timbaland wants. That's the end goal and it's coming.

That's cool and all but i won't be listening to it. Nothing new or original can come from AI music because by definition AI is just being fed already existing music. So that means the genre will have no new original voices or sounds. It will stagnate and die if it is left to AI.

But there will always be human beings who make music. So even if it's on an underground level then I'm cool with it. I don't need to be spoon fed AI slop by these failing major labels.

If anyone’s interested in actual thoughtful analysis of AI in music check out the Plain English With Derek Thompson podcast episode from March 4, 2025 titled How AI Could Change The Future of Music.

That’s the thing if it sounds good you don’t know what the fukk you’ll listen to. Yeah it’s a bit rough now but once artists start blending a.i with there music you won’t be able to tell the difference. Like I said both will be used for its intended purposes. Artists will a 100 percent blend their music with a.i even people that use instruments and record in the studio you think a.i won’t be involved in the mixing or editing? Yea ok. Artists will always be good if they are creative enough and can use a.i to enhance an experience they are trying to achieve and still execute their vision. But in some cases a lot will use it as a cheat code and be lazy with it to get it to do almost everything for them. Which yes a lot of trash can come from it but there’s always shyt that can go through the cracks if it sounds good.

I mean its just the evolution of this tool. Lupe Fiasco was using a similar system back in the day to help him find words (which is why most of his lyrics feel disconnected...)

Maybe for the idiots.

But i will never listen to AI music or an artist who is heavily using it as a tool. Art is about human expression. If there ain't a human behind it then I'm not interested.

Now for the microwave ass music a lot of artists are putting out i guess AI can easily replicate that so the generic artists might be cooked but i don't fukk with them anyway so there's no big loss.

But true artists can never be replicated by an AI.

I like what you’re saying, but you’re wrong. AI has many models, and what you get back is only as good as the prompt that you feed it. The better the input, the more refined and intentional the output.

Saying “AI can’t make real art” is like saying a paintbrush can’t create a masterpiece. Of course it can’t alone, but in the right hands, it becomes a tool that enables something powerful. The same is true for AI. It doesn’t randomly spit out content. It reflects the structure, depth, and direction it’s given.

And seriously, you might already be listening to AI assisted music without even knowing it the same as some music has a ghost rider behind it.

This people saying I won’t listen to a.i music don’t understand you can prompt it to do what you want. The better you prompt it the better you he output.
