We've all played this game before. You play one FPS you damn near player them all. At this point FPS bring nothing new to the table and there's a backlash brewing against the genre.
I really wish Beat Em Ups would make a comeback.

Actually pretty good. And he's right.
That's how I feel about that genre. I've always felt confined with FPS games and the charm falls off quick for me.

He's wrong. This is some hipster bullshyt that he's on. Some games just flat out suck. Some games suck but are good at generating hype and having a whole bunch of people buy it on the strength of its marketing.
the problem isn't the games that truly suck.
Didn't watch the video but its not rocket science.
Bungie made some poor development decisions that really hurt the game. Things like making you leave the game to read the cards. Or not having matchmaking, not allowing chat with other gamers, the way loot is distributed, etc
As good as the general gameplay is these design decisions suck the enjoyment out of the game for all but those who fit in a very limited demographic.
