Will probably be in the minority but hated the placement of the flashback, last episode was building up to the fight, we waited a week, we finally get it aaaaand...it cuts to the gay adventures of teenage Dunk

Hopefully Dunk gets some training in between seasons so he's less Rocky Balboa and more Apollo Creed.

I loved that they did it that way. Aerion was not a chump like Joffrey. He trained his entire life and would've beaten someone from Dunk's background 98% of the time. Dunk just has that retard strength

That was such a random line , my guess he was trying to imply that Maekar will probably go harder since he probably has some resentment againts the golden boy of the family

That line is everything but “random”, no?

It speaks to Maekar’s aggression (vs Baelor) and Dunk’s perseverance/grit. He spent whole flashback reticent to move on because “maybe my mother might come back”. shyt, one of the last things Rafe says to him is “now you have enough time to wait for your dead mother”. Mother’s neglect got dudes beasting out.

The line foretells what’s to happen, so rather than random - it’s a really well placed line

I don’t mean I’m literally hoping he dies soon. But I know that’s the only way the story is going to be told. I read all this shyt over a decade ago and he’s made ZERO progress. That’s insane.

I've never rooted for two people faster than I have for them.

Usually it takes at least a season, if not two, to feel like "I fuhk with X and Y, I wanna see 'em win"

By episode 3, I was like "I don't know where this is goin', but my nyggas Dunk 'n' Egg better make it through"

Dunk is naive, dumb, and idealistic, but not in a way that makes you think he's too stupid to love or in a way that makes you pity him. And Egg is a smart ass but not smarmy or too precocious.

Great casting, and great performances.

Man im loving this show. Great EP, like someone mentioned, they couldve cut down the wandering scenes with dunk and his Ser; but other than that no complaints.

They had my nikka Dunk looking like GUTS from BESERK. That melee was straight gutter
