I'm surprised that Dunk was able to find 6 other fighters that would fight for him against the crown. Is it as simple as people are just like they ain't got the Dragons no more they sweet now?

A little of everything. Some people fighting cause they hate the Targs (like the Fossway squire and the knight who broke his leg cause of the fukk shyt Aerion pulled), others are righteous like Dunc and feel like he did the right thing (Baelor and the Eyepatch). People like Baratheon are about that action and glory. There hasn’t been a trial of the 7 in forever so he wouldn’t miss his chance to be part of it.

Baelors son was in the show. Right before aeron killed that dudes horse in the joust, when he was selecting an oponent, he rode up to him and said something like "i wont be fighting u today cousin" And he was wearing the same armor

of course he's fugazi. I think on the first episode one of the first scenes was the flashback of ser arlan of pennytree shytting on his knighthood dreams. then you get the play by play of how he came up with the "I'm a knight" scam. shyt even this episode they again reinforce it with his unsureness about the oath/ritual to knight Raymun

the archetypal anchor of his character is that he's a commonfolk that's more of a "true knight" than those bearing that title simply for being highborn/belonging to noble houses

Martin really lost lol. The show is getting great reviews, everyone is praising it for being so true to the novella, once again we’re marveling at how great a storyteller he is. But season two is already filming right now. Meaning that in a few months when the filming is completed there will only be one more written novella left before HBO runs out of material. Again. Now I’m sure Martin will fart out another novella before season three premiers, but after that the show writers will be forced to work off of notes alone.

Basically because he couldn’t get his shyt together Martin is once again going to get lapped and likely get upset as the show deviates. All he had to do was complete Winds Of Winter at some point in the last…14 years. That would have put him in position to complete more novellas and then get the show produced.

I don't understand how he isn't finishing his life's work. All you gotta do is work man. I can see if he ran out of pens and paper and his CPU broke.

But I'm over doing 58 paintings a year and consistently working and this dude just loads around selling incomplete work for money to fukk off on. It's very anger inducing because I wanna read ASOIF but refuse to get to the last book and it's still not done. He still has two more books of Fire And Blood coming out too.

Yes it's worth it and you might want to skip the first few minutes of episode 2.

It's worth it. First ep sets everything up so it's not as strong, but EVERYONE would agree it progressively gets better from there and really takes some big leaps in quality.
