NCAA Football was really on it's way to some GOAT shyt before the series ended.

Uniform updates: Important to making the game as up to date as possible

Teambuilder: Classic teams, FCS, D2, or High School teams, you could play with all.

Pregame and half time show: It was basic, but it added to the game.

Studio updates: If there's a tight divisional race, or the #1 team is in trouble, Rece Davis would break in and let you know what's going on, another great addition.

ESPN ticker: Another great addition

Dynamic time: starting a game at 3:30 and it ending at dark :noah:

Commentary: Best sports commentary behind 2K

Creative schemes: Just like real life CFB, there were some many ways to get creative on offense and defense

Engine/Gameplay: I always enjoyed the gameplay over Madden. NCAA 13 & 14 had some incredibly smooth gameplay.

This made me feel old as fukk for different reasons. There used to be a game in the 80s called “Fourth and Inches” on the Commodore 64.

My mans and I poured through every div 1 roster and made every college team for the game. It took us three days. On day 2 I pulled an all nighter at my mans crib and his mom woke up thinking I came by that morning until she touched the computer and felt that shyt frying. She looked at me and said “nikka!!”

bruh

i spent HOURS putting in the right names, numbers and hometowns for players on the old PS2 games. shyt would literally take me like 2 hours to do one team :dead:
id do it for all the SEC, ACC and a few PAC 10 schools.

think I might cop a PS2 and buy NCAA 05 or 06

shyt what you know about buying a memory card and mailing it to some random dude online hoping he wasn't a scammer just to get the rosters lol.

Downloadable rosters became such a huge timesaver. I didn't even fukk with college football but somebody convinced me to check it and started to love it more than Madden. Would still buy Madden every year just to import the draft classes. The greatest ever being Chris Gamble, since he played both sides of the ball when he imported he was a pick 6 in waiting. Probably averaged about 10 pick 6s a year with him in Madden.

ncaa 2002-2004 was goat. the 360/ps3 versions had their good points, but way too many flaws. they'd add too much unrealistic features for casuals and kids that ruined the game. the other thing that pissed me off is the last year they knew a playoff was coming so they could have implemented it for dynasty and didnt under the bs excuse of we dont know how the teams are going to be selected so we dont want to put it in until its perfect. as if doing something half assed is against their standard operating procedure.
