I would strongly recommend no black people attend, because I suspect there will be paid agitators to make this look like a worse Jan 6, in order to make conservatives look better. I think there will be rioting, looting, and burning. If not, I think the police will break this up, and start beating, and tasing anyone present, and who do you think will get hurt first? The police haven’t been going crazy on them because there aren’t a bunch of Black ppl in those crowds.

This same energy better be at the polls. Half these folks stayed home in November and are trying to compensate. It's good to see but show up at the damn polls at midterms and in '28 if you wanna show me something.

Agreed. With the protest shyt - I understand the energy and intention, but I think there are better ways now. While the protests sound good at face value, with this administration there's too much room for shyt to go sideways with things like protests. I have zero doubts they will have no problem sending out fake actors with bad intentions to join the protests and escalate to make shyt turn violent for the optics. These nikkas are salivating for the opportunity to help justify a call for martial law on some "for the sake of securing our nation" bs.

I honestly hope that just as many folks are paying attention to these special elections as they are to this protest planning. Making GOP very slim majority margin in the House right now even smaller seat by seat is gonna be much more effective imo. And this is before 2026 midterms.

The best the Democratic Party can hope for is winning the four remaining special elections. This would leave the GOP in control of the lower chamber with a 218-217 majority, meaning they would not be able to afford any Republican defection on bills going forward.

It is more likely the GOP candidates will win the two special elections in Florida, with Democrats retaining the seats in Arizona and Texas. This would give the GOP a 220-215 majority in the House, giving their majority more breathing room.

"It will be harder for Dems to flip the House in 2026 than it has been for minority parties to win majorities in previous midterms because gerrymandering has become so pervasive that very few marginal districts exist," Charles Bullock, a political science professor at the University of Georgia, told Newsweek. "However, if Republicans struggle in the special elections, it is a signal—but not a guarantee—that the GOP may lose the House."

"Moreover, if the GOP performs poorly in special elections, it might prompt President Donald Trump to back off from some of his more controversial policies. On the other hand, if each party wins seats it has previously held and there is no significant change in party voting, that will be interpreted as showing no widespread dissatisfaction with the current administration and its policies."

THIS would have more immediate impact than any protests imo.

Trust me, the people showing up at these protests vote. It’s the imbeciles saying “it’s not our fight” “who cares” that mostly stayed home. These same group of apathetic loser can’t just stay apathetic quietly. They have to try to discourage others from participating in the political process.

It’s almost as if they have an agenda to keep black people from participating in the political process.
