No controversy, Rondo was brought here to mentor Zo not to be our starting PG. Rondo would be great with the second unit as him and Lance can help the more offensively challenged players with their playmaking abilities.

This. Rondo is a better playmaker than Zo, not necessarily a better passer but Rondo can get into the paint and find open guys. Zo is a better standstill and open floor passer but he’s not breaking down guys and finding them. Rondo can help KCP the most and Kuz as well.

zo got that athleticism and lengh rondo doesn't have. this lakers are athletic team. they need to run up and down and play with energy using their length and versatility on D. rondo at this point of his career can't do any of that.

What seperates Lonzo from Rondo is DEFENCE. Lonzo is miles ahead in regards to spacing, anticipation and awareness on D. I saw this last year in Lonzo and was completely surprised by his defensive awareness. He's just a natural baller. And now that that shot is dropping
