I’ve spoke to a lot of teachers during a teachers conference and AI is basically dumbing down the youth. Kids using AI to speak for them instead of using their brains.

But this all boils down to how you use it yes you can cut corners with it. If kids are using it to speak for themselves then yes it’s an issue. But Competencies always get tested.

I agree. The same way every black person in America needs to truly understand guns, how they work, and how to use and maintain them.

In the case of understanding guns, it could extend your life. In the case of understanding Ai, it could extend your career. There are no guarantees with either but its not worth taking the chance on.

The thing that I'm wondering is, birthrates all over the world are dropping and it may take us 50 years to stabilize under AI; population density may come down to a point where the people who want to work, work. And the people who don't, don't.

Yeah, I think when used to replace thinking and creativity, it has a detrimental effect. It becomes a shortcut that encourages laziness in the long run

But it’s more valuable when used to enhance an already formed idea or plan instead of being used to think for you
