Here's a history lesson for your ass, Crips tried to set up shop in Hunters Point in SF in the early 80's when color banging was still very much a thing. And nikkas in Hunter's Point wasn't trying to give up a large portion of their profits to Crip nikkas in L.A. It's like if a temp agency came into a job you already had, asked you to wear their work shirts but wanted dollars off of every hour of your work. Don't make sense do it?
To me, L.A. Is more culturally influenced by Chicanos. It's undeniable. The Mexicans been banging since zoot suits, Crips and Bloods only been around since the 60's. L.A. And Chicago are the only two major cities with the long established gang culture within the black community. All of these other cities have been influenced by Hollywood, the mainstream music industry etc. NY Bloods in the 90's were a lil different and came from the prison culture. But all of these other cities banging Blood or Crip after the year 2000 are suspect.
And the Bay is more known for hustlers because the cards are stacked high against nikkas in the Bay.
There ain't no professional black middle class left in the Bay. Oakland went from 50 to 20% black in 25 years and SF has had the worst case of black flight of any big city in America. The only blacks left in Frisco are project nikkas where nikkas can't even get a job at Jack in the Box. But somehow nikkas in SF and Oakland open up successful clothing stores, press up their own albums and sell em to the key of hundreds of thousands of sales without major label distribution, go viral on YouTube with slaps and manage to be rich in the most overpriced region of the country where people making six figures in the tech industry live out of a minivan in a Walmart parking lot because they can't afford rent. 
Bay nikkas don't say they created game for no reason.

And really it's not just a California issue, blacks are being displaced in many major cities Coast to coast; but it is very true that most black Californians live in integrated neighborhoods surrounded by other races and ethnicities. There are no more majority black neighborhoods in San Francisco, San Diego, or Sacramento. There are two majority black neighborhoods left in Oakland: Acorn (55.5% black) and Millsmont (50.5%). There are a bunch of neighborhoods in The Town that have large black pluralities in the 30s to high 40s percentage, but these are the only two neighborhoods left that are mostly black...
The population of those two neighborhoods combined in 7,100 people in 0.55 square miles (12,909 density)...majority black Oakland accounts for about 1.65% of Oakland's population in 0.98% of Oakland's land area...
Meanwhile on the Westside of South LA, there are six majority black neighborhoods left: Gramercy Park (78.3%), Leimert Park (70.7%), Manchester Square (69.4%), Hyde Park/View Park (60.1%), Baldwin Hills/Crenshaw (58.5%), and West Athens (53.5%)...
The population of these six neighborhoods is 118,486 in 12.3 square miles (9,633 density). That means majority black South Central is about 14.81% of South LA's population in 24.12% of South LA's land area...
I haven't looked at the Eastside of South LA yet, which I suspect has long ceased to have a majority black hood (though the Low Bottoms, Watts, Florence-Firestone are all historically black areas). I'm almost certain that when you start adding the demos of neighboring cities to South Central and Oakland, there are going to be more mostly black hoods in Greater LA than the greater Bay...
There is nothing that backs up The Bay or Oakland having a stronger or more black culture than LA. Nothing. And I'll repeat for those of you who haven't experienced both equally, there is no way you spend time in The Bay and LA equally and think The Bay is blacker, and literally nothing could back up that claim....
But there all sorts of things that validate LA as being the more black-influenced region...

South Central is still 28% black overall, with seven majority black neighborhoods: View Park (79%), Gramercy Park (78.3%), Leimert Park (73.7%), Manchester Square (69.9%), Baldwin Hills (54.6%), Hyde Park (54.2%), and West Athens (53%)...
All seven of these hoods are on the Westside of South LA, and it looks even more stark compared to Oakland. Westside SCxLA has a population right around ~425,000 in 29.4 square miles, and is 37.9% black (compared to Oakland, which has ~429,000 people in 55.9 square miles and is 22.9% black)...
So think about this, the Westside of South LA has about the same population as the entire city of Oakland, but is around 64% blacker. That's it in a nutshell, Oakland is basically the Westside but far fewer blacks, and as I mentioned before, if you're on the ground equally in these cities, you don't come away thinking you see more blacks in The Town...

I been to the Bay a couple of times and always enjoyed myself. If I didn't have some personal/family things going on a few years ago I would've tried to get out there for a little run. Some aspects of it kinda remind me of the east coast but of course the people are more laid back 
I had a sherpa while I was out there so he had me on the ends getting into all types of fukkery 
I haven't been to LA yet but I feel like whenever I do go it's gonna be more of the stereotypical idea of Cali. Palm trees, migos, traffic, beach, plastic surgery, and mad people saying "mark azz buster" and "aye, where you from fool?
