A lot of people forget, after Rakim and Kane, Special Ed was the next in line that people championed

When it comes to top MC's from the golden era, Special Ed is usually over looked. But during 89/90, he was up there with Ra, Kane, KRS as one of the most popular elite spitters. To best describe him, he was like the Fab of his era. His music was witty, intelligent, and he would also spit fly sh1t too.

Glad someone brought this up after that Eric B interview. Special Ed was huge in my hood in Flatbush, he was close friends with my cousin, I think his friends Les and Noel are back up dancers in one of the videos you posted. I was even suppose to be in one of his videos when I was a little kid. He was that dude. He was extra nice.

I'm glad a fellow OG is in here. Wasn't Special Ed the next dude the hood was riding with after Ra and Kane got big? He was spitting the fly get money sh1t, with intelligence and wit. I was like 12/13 at the time and Ed catered more to the teenage demo without dumbing down, if I'm making any sense.

Yeah he was that dude I was mad young when he was popping. I was like 7-8 so I couldn't say how the adults felt but as a kid he was the biggest thing. As a kid I saw no difference in relevance between him and Kane. They both were them dudes
