Black people know nothing about generational wealth. This is why we stay falling behind while spending the most money of any demographic.

How many of you dudes have life insurance?

How many of yall have a 401K or stocks? Real Estate?

Generational wealth...
Bruh...you are preaching man...Let me tell you a story.

My aunt....had a string of beauty salons in the bronx for decades.
She cleared well over a million a year with her shops and investments and her real estate holdings.
She was rolling and I was so proud to be her nephew. We were all proud of her.
She had one kid....my cousin.
Most spoiled brat I ever met. Never knew anything about what real life was...never really worked to get money, had everything handed to her her whole life man.
:stopitslime:

When my aunt died and left her everything, she sold it all....every gatdamned bit...for NOTHING!
:sadbron:

Sold a million dollar business for a pittance.
Sold my aunts homes for way way less than they were worth to get quick money.
Sold my aunts car collection for drug money.
:damn:

She had a house halfway built to impress others and didn't have money to complete it.
So they walled in what was completed and left the skeleton of the rest of the house exposed.
Can you imagine that shyt?
:dahell:

She ran through that money in less than a year.
Now she's in a nursing home from being messed up from the drugs, that half-house got repossessed, nothing my aunt created or owned is left to be a marker in history.
All because of one worthless bum-ass entitled piece of shyt millennial-type person.

When the shops were closed, all of the hairstylists lost jobs that paid over 60k a year...I know because I saw my aunts books coming up. I know how much the workers made and how much she made.
All those people had to start over after having a reputation...a livelyhood...a career for over 20 years!!!

If my aunt had left me just one of her salons I would have never had to work another day in my life.
I could have taken that one shop and rebuilt her legacy and continued what she started.

It ain't right....it just ain't right...

it's shyt like this that makes the Black race disposable. We don't invest in our families and our legacy to leave anything behind for future generations to go by. They could wipe us off the planet at any point and there would be nothing left to signify that we were ever here!!!
:birdman::damn::mindblown:

We were fukking up.
We have been fukking up.
We are fukking up.

No life insurance until my brother or I have kids or get married. I have a 401k from my job, mutual funds, emergency savings for 1 year of rent food, utilities, car gas/insurance, and real estate I'll be looking at once I'm 30 and want to settle in an area.

Somebody linked this thread in some recent thread, but im just now seeing this....and this is true...my friend "Matthew" in high school had like 15k saved for him when he was about to go away to school...and i know another whose dad basically just passed down his business to him and bought him his 1st car etc....i have my own business but my pop didn't give it to me, i had to start from scratch...even though my pops is a good man and he was there all my life...i still didnt get anything handed to me like that. In general they get a headstart plus their parents tend to help them more

I remember my dad saying that when I was 16.

lol a lot of black kids in college I knew got treated like this stories I've heard
-Paying for bus tickets and plane tickets back home
-When they came to to visit back in college one persons parents made them pay 20$ for a ride from the train station another made them pay half the bill when they went out to eat
-A lot of people when they had their parents visit they paid for the expenses to visit hotel/food/$.
-One person had their mom stay in their shared dorm room when they got evicted for nearly two months
-Nearly every black person I knew paid their own cell bill, clothes, books, food etc a lot of whites didn't
-A lot had to pay the school health insurance because their parents cut them off of theirs after 18
-A lot who commuted paid for their car insurance
-No Christmas Gifts or Birthday gifts after 18
-One persons parents made apply for credit cards and used them for themselves and left the kid with thousands in bills that took 2 years to pay off
-A lot of people had to forgo school and work or join the military because their parents couldn't or wouldn't co-sign a loan
-A lot of people had to pay for their ownapplication fees
-One dude I knew didn't go to graduation because he'd rather work and his family didn't help with shyt
-No graduation gifts maybe a card if your lucky
-Everyone paid rent when they moved back in after graduating
-A lot were given full paid scholarships because they're parents either didn't have the income or weren't present in their lives
-A lot were late on their rent and bills while in college
-A lot of people i knew starved before getting their refund check from the school
-People working 2-3 jobs while trying to take full time classes

White peoples parent actions
-I was amazed when I moved off campus how many white people's parent's paid their rent in full with utilities
-A lot of white parents paid frat/sorority dues
-Some paid for school in cash or where given cash if they got over a 3.0 or if they just passed
-A lot whites when they graduated either were bought a car or had a down payment on a house or where given the keys to a business
-One white dude i knew was given 100k in cash for graduating

I've personally experienced about half of those things on the first list so I know it's true.

Our generation of parents did some sorry ass shyt and they let the system become fukked up with this high ass rent/utilities, inflated economy, no middle class jobs, the college dream/illusion, messed up court/legal system, and high cost medical care.

We can't let that shyt happen to our generation of children

Man...this is all very true

This is more of a thing for hoodrats who have kids between 18 to 25 and want to be the :flabbynsick: cougar in the club. I'm black and I've never heard anyone's parents I know say this.
Ikr. I know quite a few black families where the kids live at home. I know plenty of people who live at home.

Usually if the kids lives on their own either they want more freedom or the parent(s) wants more freedom

Your aunt fukked up and may have been doing shyt wrong on the side all along.

For one thing she put her legacy in the hands of a drug addict instead of setting up a trust fund and board. She left everything to the drug addict instead of spreading the wealth and responsibility to the rest of the family.

Who was the attorney advising in all this?

The tragedy is your aunt. Your cousin is worthless but your aunt knew better....and maybe then some.

:russell:And in other news, water is wet.

Of course these cacs are beneffitting from generational wealth. I keep hearing how "America became great because of 10 cents and a dream" no mothafukka America became great due to 400 years of pure unadulterated unchecked free labor where every white business venture turned a profit. Most of these cacs have never worked a single day in their life, and EVERYTHING is handed to them. I laugh when I hear them complain that blacks are lazy and just want handouts and that they are the hardworking ones :heh: fukking cacs man.

The more reason why black people need to stop being materialistic and instead focus on group economics, saving money, creating a budget, and have actual shyt to pass down to our children and our children's children so they dont have to suffer. Stop buying $300 versace belts or spending $500 in clubs and flexing on instagram, instead save/invest that money and focus on the long term.
They only ones that are able to make that kind of money are puppets who are controlled by the dominant society. Even if we had our own towns or schools they'd be shut down or bombed like in oklahoma.

Idk I guess I'd heard about it on tv so much I thought that stuff was routine like groceries or birthday money :skip:

A lot of black kids are like that fresh from college QB who got shoved into games in their first year. They simply are not ready for primetime. They get kicked out of the house early with no guidance under the guise of tough love and are expected to make it on their own. They end up making a ton of bad decisions which sets them back financially. They are also unable to save. Why do you think these Mexicans who come across the border can end up owning businesses despite getting paid low wages? They live a ton to a house and they all pitch in, meaning they get to save a lot of money. They then use that to buy businesses and they end up hiring each other. That mechanism simply doesn't exist in a lot of the black community because you'd probably get clowned for 'living with your parents' or with having room mates. It's the same with the Indians. They don't move out until late. All the while, they are stacking money and buying businesses.

Yep

My Ex girlfriend's family came up like this.

Said 27 family members occupied a 3 bedroom apartment in Long Beach. Each of them bought in about 325-400 a week off the books. STRAIGHT CASH.

Eventually they became citizens and used the money to open up laundry mats, dry cleaners, and other various businesses.
Mexicans?
