What is the point of this thread?
a c00n projecting onto others what he is

his words are a mirror reflection of his psychology and viewpoint on brehs but he acts like others carry those negative views he is fighting like they don't originate from his own mind.

this nikka is shadow boxing in here with his guilty conscious. don't let the ultra militance fool you.

You are stupid and not worth any of these exchanges.:yeshrug:
But what happens when mama is dead and gone?

I’m currently talking to a guy friend about a similar situation with the young man I’m working with who was homeless. The lack of real life skills is such a hurdle to overcome. Just stuff as simple as maintaining a bank account without over drafting it.

Or the simple connection between staying on a job for 40hrs per week, so that every two weeks you can have enough to pay bills is a MAJOR life skill that a lotta people haven’t encountered yet b/c their parents do EVERYTHING for them.

But when it’s time to stand on your own two feet and maintain your own car note, house note, car insurance, utilities, bills…what then? What’s the plan?

I know so many parents right now damn near working harder than their “children” who are grown adults, just so they can have privileges. And a lot of these types (male and female btw) aren’t even helping their parents. It blows my mind b/c I’ve been working since I was 16 so that I could retire my mom and dad.
Even now I get angry if my mom pulls out her card for anything.

If I don’t have it, I go and work another job. It’s that simple.
But that work ethic is escaping a lot of the younger generations. And it’s gonna be hard to try and establish a family or maintain a relationship if you don’t have that go get it attitude and that resilience.
That’s also why I’m automatically :whoa:when I hear people saying they should allow children to stay home past the age of 18.

My hackles raise INSTANTLY.
When I was 18, I had a 4.1 gpa and a full ride to 5 schools. And I worked PT at a pet store.

What were these kids doing for four years in high school when they were supposed to be planning for the next phase of their lives? Do you know how hard I was working in high school?! I used to have to apply for scholarships damn near daily during my junior and senior year. Anything less than a B would have had you losing teeth.

So now that you spent the last 4 years from the time you were 14-18 doing nothing but eating yo mama’s groceries…you want ANOTHER four years to do what?!

If you are working and stacking money and respectful then cool.
But if mom and dad are giving themselves heart attacks going in on their jobs, while you at home doing nothing or pushing your babies off on them…you gots to go!

I had to talk with a parent the other day who keeps giving their “child”…grow ass adult…money to pay his rent. She works at the post office.:deadrose: Where does HE work? And there’s SO MANY JOBS OUT THERE NOW!

I dunno even know. One girl told me she was mad at her mom for not wanting to watch her baby.:dahell:Um…your mom is a clinical psychologist and told you not to get pregnant in the first place.
:dahell:It’s too much for me to understand.

Quit with the motherfukking respectability politics and thinly veiled “black people are lazy” “millennials entitled” rhetoric. This shyt is simply the result of a systemic problem that has shut black people out of the economy and reduced our total wealth to zero.

Coming from an actual black man with a college degree - these jobs aren’t fukking hiring. I put in hundreds of applications. Go fukk your self, this system is rigged.

No one gives a fukk about your “I had a 4.1 gpa and worked two jobs” having ass. You should have the fukking integrity to actually point out how this system is unequal and there are MASSIVE barriers in place for black people to actually succeed and build wealth. Argue with the statistics.
Quit the “hard work” respectability talk and you won’t have these problems. Act like systemic racism isn’t the root cause of these problems and blame the individuals for not being exceptional enough to overcome systemic problems.

And then extrapolate your individual experience into groups of people as of that should be the standard.

You are one of the most full of shyt users on this site.

You talk about what you did as thought your life should be used as a measurement for what others should endure and accomplish.

You look at a black man receiving support from his mother, and you stick your greasy nose in the middle of it to try and put a stop to his mum having his back.

In following posts you go on to admit the support you received from the government and the initiatives that don't exist today.

Your post was dumb. On the outside, you don't know what people are going through but you're an arrogant, judgemental piece of shyt who doesn't skip a beat when it comes to throwing shade on black men.
And @Umoja was right on the money with your ass too.

Im confused...what does neoliberalism have to do with this.....it didn't exist in the time period mentioned... Are you saying neoliberalism would be cool with slavery, cuz I agree. But if we're being fair, it has little to with economic ideologies and more to do with the white man being the devil.

We are all confused b/c OP is just throwing out rhetoric at this point.

The major issues in the exchanges OP was ranting about are below:

I called out how changes to educational training and society have negatively impacted younger generations and led to entitlement in many, depression, withdrawal AND that apparently equals me supporting the idea that we gotta pull ourselves up by the bootstrap or c00ning. Allegedly. According to OP.
:mjlol:
Meanwhile, back at reality ranch…
1.) I said time and time again that these changes were systemic in nature and I have been blaming the education system since I got on this site. In fact, I routinely get into disagreements with people who focus on parents or student behavior instead of systemic educational issues.

2.) But he apparently felt triggered at me mentioning some of the socially conditioned flaws of current generations and took that as me giving shytty government/economy a pass. He also thought that me indicating my success was an attempt at bootstrap/respectability political apologetics when I was actually saying the exact opposite. That I’m a product, not of some rich amazing family or awesome hard work (although I have paid my dues), but of a number of social government programs that trained blk kids in my community and molded them for success. Without these supports, many of us wouldnt have made it. And until we petition our government to address these deficits in our education system, they’ll see more current generations delaying adulthood, increased depression, more social skill deficits, and withdrawal from society.

But all of that got lost b/c as soon as ANYBODY says anything honest about current generations, some get overly sensitive. That’s all this was.:francis: Which is sad.

Acknowledging the issues with Millennial and Gen Y doesn’t mean we let our government absolve itself of blame for the circumstances that led to these social problems. But we also don’t need to lie to ourselves and have a stroke when we DO confront problems each generation has whether by design or not.

3.) There was also some major triggered hurt over young adults being allowed to stay at home in older ages due to struggling economy. Some indicated that it works for other communities, so WE should try it too. I accurately pointed out that there are cultural norms that support those habits in other ethnic groups that don’t translate to the same outcomes for American youth based on our history. I also included an interesting longitudinal study that demonstrates that blk kids ARE staying with family members into adulthood and this practice has not led to them or other groups transitioning successfully into attaining markers of adulthood such as homeownership. In fact, for American young adults, it actually retards the process.

But of course, these ideas aren’t popular so fukk logic. Let’s just use a bunch of rhetoric, personal insults, anger and nonsense to lash out in hurt when somebody mentions that water might actually be wet.

This is always the energy with some of these posters on this board.
womanyellingcat-1573233850.jpg

I just be reflecting on stuff and a handful start e-raging over nothing and before I know it, I’m a “feminist, c00ning, bedwenching, mammy, with an Asian husband that hates blk men…” But I also apparently hate blk women too according to other forums when I critique them as well.
:lolbron:
The real issue is this coddled, hypersensitive nation of lames can’t take criticism. So when I talk about the government, I’m making excuses for individuals. When I talk about individuals, I’m making excuses or advocating “bootstrap” mentality. When I talk about blk women, I’m a male identified mammie. When I talk about blk men, I’m a feminist blk male hating bytch.

Meanwhile, I none of these hurt feelings will stop the truth. I say what I see. What I observe. What I study and what I know. If it doesn’t apply to you, then let it fly. If it does and you don’t agree, then let’s chop it up.

But if you ready to explode over internet discourse, go sit at the kiddie dunce table while adults are talking about real shyt.
Because adults can converse without all the impotent computer rage.
