Because if you telling us you gonna live the rest of your life off a million dollars I hope you don't plan on living long

Won't even need to invest your diversify.

I think wealth building can be done on less. For me? Probably about $125,000. It's not always about how much you make, but how much you save. If you don't have a car note and no credit card debt you can go further. That's at least an extra $600 in your pockets. Rent is the biggest factor slowing most of us down. If you can buy a house and beat rent prices, do so ASAP.

Dumbass influencers using wealth building has to be the new fukkin scam word like financial freedom. What does that even mean, retirement, extravagant purchases, or investments?

That number you posted highly depends on where you live and obligations like student loans. Plus people reject the reality of what comes along with a salary like that. You don’t live in a shyt neighborhood, you gain new experiences etc, and circle of friends. As you QoL improve so does your CoL.

Now couple with a combined income of 250k is the real game changer.

He’s from Houston, right?

No, shyt. That's why I said for ME.

And YOUR Cost of Living would go up, don't put that on me and others. Everybody don't need to clout chase and floss. There's half a million reddit posters on r/fire trying to retire early. That's what I'm on. :whew:

You make a 125k:leostare:

Not everybody needs the biggest house and biggest truck breh. Why is that hard for you to understand?

That's not to say I don't buy nice things, I do, but not to where I'm pay check to pay check. To make money, you need money. If you spend it on bullshyt you prolong retirement.

So you don’t make a 125k and are only assuming that’s what you need. I’m not being antagonistic but it’s not about biggest house or car breh. You can honestly say with 6 figures you won’t travel, try new experiences, or treat yourself?

The more money you make, the more investments, the more you protect those investments. Whether that’s moving to a safe neighborhood, spending more on a dependable car. And if you’re talking about wealth building you’re gonna probably get a wealth advisor, aka more spending, which is gonna involve estate planning, brokerage accounts & risks. Then if you’re dating or starting a family that’s an increase to your CoL, unless you’re a permanent coli poster.

As someone who lives moderately and makes 6 figures, 200-250K is where wealth starts to be built where you can enjoy it before you’re 67.

I could see someone who 90 years old saying that when you could buy a hamburger for a quarter.

By the year 2100 he will probably be right.

So everybody is the same and always need to buy luxury and travel and go to the best restaurants. Nobody is trying to retire early.
