They got tricked that the beef would be squashed and they got shot during retreating. That's not self defense.

I asked if dude was a lawyer because oftentimes online folks google something and then act like they’re an expert in whatever they googled. I just wanted to know if that’s the place he was coming from. Yeah I agree I find it hard to be self defense if folks backs are to you retreating.

Not in the legal field but I do have a CC in NC and when in retreat you are no longer in danger, legally. he said they were retreating because of the gun....still....once in retreat you arent supposed to shoot someone in the back. People are saying self defense but the law doesnt work like that, at least not in my state. It CAN be ruled as self defense if it is proven to stop a deadly threat. but its not an open and shut case by any means. its not as simple as murder or self defense.
