I was just given the name Agu a couple weeks ago but the nikka told me it meant Lion and when I got home I found out it meant Leopard.

Yeah I found out it’s a little controversy behind it because it’s a clothing brand/style or something, but everywhere I read from like traditional language sources it said it meant Leopard.

I don’t care really.

"Agu" is often used as a nickname for Igbo guys so maybe that's why he said that. I might be wrong but I don't think that it's used that often as an actual name (maybe for a chieftancy title).
