That's deep. One of my favorite quotes has to go to Charles Barron. In his ninth month in office, during a speech proposing reparations for descendants of slaves, Barron declared, “I want to go up to the closest white person and say, ‘You can’t understand this, it’s a black thing,’ and then slap him, just for my mental health.”

Per Chat GPT;

Miles Davis recounted his disdain for opening for the Steve Miller Band in a 1970 Fillmore East series, calling Miller a "sorry-ass cat" and a "non-playing motherfukker" in his autobiography. He expressed frustration at being forced to open for an artist he believed lacked musical depth, despite Miller's commercial success. Davis claimed Miller "didn’t have his shyt going for him" and said he was "pissed" because he had to open for someone with only "one or two sorry-ass records out."

To assert his dominance, Davis deliberately arrived late, forcing Miller to perform first. When Davis and his band finally took the stage, they "smoked the motherfukking place," according to Davis, leaving a powerful impression on the audience. This tactic was a calculated act of defiance, reflecting Davis’s contempt for what he saw as Miller’s inferior musicianship and the promotional setup that paired him with younger rock acts.
