A pro-gay song by a white rapper is in pretty regular rotation

I'm aware of that .

But since when was hip hop about supporting gay culture and purchasing 2nd hand clothing ?

Are there not homosexuals in hip hop? I mean yea, people like to act like they don't exist until one of the people we claim as its founders ends up trying to drug nikkas to poke around in their bootyholes...if hip hop is about giving voice to the unheard, that is probably one of the last barriers to break down. It shouldn't be a question of "since when"

Get yourself a Camry, "nikka said a Camry?"
Watch that ho depreciate and then you’ll understand me
It’s called being fiscally responsible

Since when was hip hop about being fiscally responsible?

If hip hop can swing one way and be uber materialistic with nikkas going on and on about name brands that they ain't even getting paid off of half the time, we can definitely flip that script and speak on the negative effects of that, and how a lot of this shyt is a rip off.

The real problem is...he's the one talking about it, and will be getting the credit for it when it really looks extra deliberate. Next thing you know he's gonna make a song about polar bears and the bees going extinct. I mean this is all shyt that "we" could be touching on, but won't for fear of someone asking "since when do we talk about that!"

I'm not upset about him doing his thing, I don't and won't listen to him. I just think it's wack that he's going to be "that" rapper, that clown rosenbird talking about he's bringing "soul" back to hip hop.

I guess this is your not so subtle way of saying :

"Since Eminem fell off , I devote myself wholeheartedly to Macklemore"

its sad that it takes a white rapper to move hip hop out of its intellectually and morally retarded perspective on gay people.

Its just like the article I was reading about Americans being tolerant about violence, and even sexual violence, but being intolerant of sexual issues. If we want to get mad about what's in hip-hop and who is succeeding then we need to stop allowing trash with a catchy beat to succeed.

There's more than likely other dudes doing it but he's on the forefront. The point @SunZoo was making sums it up quite well.

Hip-Hop hasn't been about that in AT LEAST a decade or longer, get real.

If you support this CAC's gay agenda, fine...but don't try to sell nikkas a pile of shyt and call it sugar.

And Macklemore is trash.
