I'm on level 7 so far and I ain't have done yet in mission 2 with Trunks yet.

I would just play through the storymode first
I read the DBZ Xeniverse thread.....some of them said they having hard time to beat Cell, Freiza boss fight so basically I have to building/training/skills up my level before I fight the bosses?

you can do the side quest over and over a few times and gain some good XP

The higher the PQ, the more experience, you should be able to join any PQ if I remember correctly. There's some like fighting 3 great apes where your team can carry you and all you gotta do is be in the mission. I don't know how active missions are nowadays but just find high ones.What if they are higher level than me
