Both, I'd suggest offline though so other online nikkas don't take points from you for being the one with the most kills and stuff. Just make sure you start the game with the server online, cause it only works when connected. If it gives you that "can't connect to xenoverse servers, starting in offline mode" exit out and go back in. Got to be online and connected to get those extra XP points.
