A question about remorse

I'm asking about this topic because last night i was working security at a club last night,and a guy walks in that i fought 5 years ago. He was shocked to see me and was still scared that i was gone do something to him. Long story short he said we got into a fight 5/6 years ago and i did permanent damage to his face and back of his head. I felf horrible about it cause of the damage. Later on I asked him what was the fight about,he said he tried to get at my babymama in the club and he took it too far and we got into it, then he ran across the street and reached under the seat for a gun and reached under the wrong seat and it was all down hill from there. So i'm asking the board would you still feel remorse what happened to him after finding out the whole story or did he get what he deserved?

assuming your story is 100% truthful, i wouldn't feel remorse... dude was about to put you in a body bag... you were far more merciful, he's still alive....

Yes it is true i put it on my kids and i work security i have my own company i used to work at some of the worst spots so fights were all the time, and the only reason i felt remorse was cause it was permanent damage to his head but after he told me the rest of the story i just felt numb to it. He said it happened roughly 5/6 years ago so no i don't remember him like that but once he told me things started to come back to me

i don't remember how it started all he told me last night was that he tried to holla at my babymama and things got bad quick we squared up and then he ran to his car reaching for his pistol under the seat he said it was the wrong seat or it wasn't in the car either way he has permanent damage to his face and the back of his head
