A question regarding Wolverine.

Now I'm just a casual consumer of comic books with an above average knowledge of Marvel lore but it's always been strange to me that there are four Canadian mutants with similar powersets who apparently have no relation. Was this ever explained in the books or is it merely a coincidence?

so basically, yeah. they aren't really mutants, but all part of another race.

Which shyts on marvel's cash cow and established history (and actually is kind of lame), so they're Mutants.

Having read up on the character no doubt he'll feature heavily towards the end of Wolverine's current storyline. They even shoehorned him into Weapon X.
