RESPECT. In the 2000's Devante continued to mentor and help the likes of people like flo rida and Keyshia cole. If it weren't for Devante's generosity, they may not have made it. They all used Devante's studio and lived in a building he bought.it is really is a great interview. it's always great to hear a songwriter and producer such as devante speak on things because he's one of those guys who's one of the greats in my book. naw he didn't have a long drawn out career like many but the quality of his work is timeless and was innovative
i would love to hear him speak now more on his recordin' process, the many different artists who've influenced him (i know he's a huge michael jackson, prince, gap band and guy fan), his favorite albums, and just music in general. he's hands down my favorite r&b songwriter and producer of the 90's
i wonder if he does any ghostwritin' these days, i can't imagine bein' that talented and not doin' anythin' related to music
