I think it does matter how stupid he looks because he is claiming to be a face of the movement. To the person who may not know what that subreddit is about and the first time they hear about this big movement is this interview its gonna make it easier to ignore the actual message of the subreddit. r/Anti-Work has some decent foundations. Especially the ones that pertain to worker treatment, raise in minimum wage and work/life balance.

However, like most movements its been taken over by weirdos. People who LITERALLY just don't want to work. Which isn't just unsustainable, its unrealistic. And there's not one reddit mod who should ever be allowed on TV that's a damn fact.
Also, the problem is that why do people not understand that if your going on TV thier objective is to point/counter-point you. How can you not have your retorts ready? This was the chance of a lifetime to actually shyt on the demographic that discredits you.

I've seen those clips of those Watters segments on Youtube and I think some of them were mad funny. The only joke is how stupid people's answers are to some of his questions about basic American history, and many of the people he speaks to were college students or post-grad students, which is scary.

In one of the clips he asked some dumb college chick how many branches of gov't there are and she had no idea. This is the type of basic shyt you learn in high school.

If you look at the posts on that subreddit.. people were working 60+ hour work weeks, 7 days a week, and their boss/manager would tell them to come in on their vacation days or tell them they have to come in when sick with a flu/fever because of a shortage of staff!

Managers would also guilt trip people getting paid bullshyt because they couldn't come in. I remember one poster had to take their family member to doctor's visits and even informed the employer of this prior to being employed, and the employer still said we don't care, you have to come in.

These people are not saying they don't want to work.
