i ditched that sub a few weeks ago, those a$$hole manager text message posts just seemed to get faker and faker every day

Exactly. Every day there would be a new thread of somebody posting this exact exchange with their 'boss':

Boss: "Two people called out. You need to come in today. Be in by 11:00. :birdman:"

Them: "I'm so sorry, but as I informed you yesterday, I am currently in the hospital on my deathbed with Covid, and I have to take care of my sick mother, who is in the hospital bed right next to me while the cancer and Alzheimer's slowly eats away at her body and mind. :mjcry:"

Boss: "This is the second day in a row you weren't available to come in. You are aware that you need to be on call at all times during your off hours, correct? I am seriously questioning your commitment to this company. When you come back we are going to have a serious talk about your future here."

Them: "fukk you! It's not my responsibility to come in on my day off. I don't get paid enough for this shyt, and it's not my problem if you're short staffed. I'm not coming in, and if you don't like it you can go fukk yourself! :pacspit:"

It got to the point where other posters on the subreddit were calling this shyt out, like, "Just say you can't come in today and stop with the cap. :unimpressed:"

That was one of the few good subreddits. It called attention to how the average American worker is getting sodomized with no Vaseline. But that sub got infiltrated by a bunch of neckbeard socialist antifa types who were pushing for Universal Basic Income, full on Communism etc.

You have two extremes. Bootstrappers who say anyone who doesn’t work 70 hours is a lazy. Even though most bootstrappers are miserable and take out their frustration for their pitiful existences on everyone around them by having no manners, driving like dikkheads and being Karens to service workers. :rudy:And you have people that want full in communism but don’t realize that how bad folks have in China. :mindblown:It’s no secret people in high places want to model the West after China.

The truth is that there should be a work life balance. The best work schedule in my opinion is working four ten hour days because you have a three day weekend. But most people are forced to work overtime or take a second job just to pay for the necessities. This is not right, people literally fought for our right to a forty hour workweek, but for many people that is a luxury. And you have bootstrappers who have the audacity to defend rising out of control inflation, suppressing wages and overworking as a solution when a single health crisis or episode of inevitable burnout could send them to the poor house too. :stopitslime:
China and the soviet union didn't practice communism, they practiced state run totalitarianism, masked as socialism.

Just as an FYI,

The antiwork subreddit wasn’t “anti work” in the way people might think. They aren’t against getting a job or anything like that.

It functioned more as a place to highlight bad work conditions, unreasonable work requests, bad management….that sort of thing.
And it was good.

Cliff notes.

- There's a subreddit called Antiwork with almost 2 million members.
- With the record amount of resignations happening it's been getting a lot of media attention
- Fox News invites the head moderator for an interview
- Everyone on the site tells him not to do it. He does it anyways
- He goes live on TV and makes an absolute fool out of himself and the whole site by extension (nikka walks dogs for 20 hours a week and claims he wants less hours :mjlol:)
- Whole forum is pissed
- Bans people who criticizes him left and right
- Deletes the entire subreddit

Grand opening grand closing :wow:

In B4 "cac shyt" and "why you on Reddit OP?" :francis:

Honestly, those folks on r/antiwork are completely out of their minds and they all take everything way too far.

Originally, yes. It got suborned into a hotbed of agent activity. You could sabotage the mentality of nations' entire workforces on the cheap.

dam how did they narrow it down and find the perfect mark like this

Keep forcing the hands of the rich. They have no choice but to raise wages or bring in Basic Income.

Had employers and azz kissers of the rich all shaken and worried. Feels like Occupy Wallstreet getting disbanded (again).
:sas1: There was a Fed mtg yesterday. Know what they said? They raising rates. Why?

The Fed’s withdrawal of policy support could temper consumer and corporate demand as borrowing money to buy a car, a boat, a house or a business becomes more expensive. Slower demand could give supply chains, which have fallen behind during the pandemic, room to catch up. By slowing down hiring, the Fed’s moves could also limit wage growth, which might otherwise feed into inflation if employers raised prices to cover higher labor costs.

Fed Signals Rate Increase in March, Citing Inflation and Strong Job Market

:sas2: My man had suggested something like this might occur yesterday, something to make the newly organized victims of capitalism look dumb. I had been watching both r/antiwork and r/latestagecapitalism to get a sense of the zeitgeist leading up to this.

Yeah sure. Because it devolved on some animal farm shyt I guess they did socialism wrong :mjlol:

How else is the state going to practice collectivism without a ruling class that's smarter than the people to extract and distribute the people's labor?
