I have to disagree and say that the vanity and pridefulness associated with social media has made more average people perpetrate being street, be even more open to participating in destructive behavior, and respond to ants with a sledgehammer. TV is impersonal while social media is connected to a person’s literal identity in the world.

P raises a good question. Say we did have Black Neighborhood Patrols/Vigilantes, would the local law enforcement, prosecutor's. DA's be willing to cut them some slack for getting rough with the troublemakers in these neighborhoods?

Now, that’s the real solution, meet force with even more force. The white folks/injustice system would have to get out of the way of the ones who have had enough and aren’t scared of street nikkas, but not giving us autonomy to do what’s needed in our communities is a big part of their plan to have us held hostage to the small percentage of us that are beyond redeeming. Thing is, we can operate in a way that no one would ever be criminally prosecuted for administering our laws in our communities.

Black neighborhood patrols and vigilantes are a pipe dream. It would just be more black bodies added to the death toll.

It’s only a pipe dream because people are too weak and p*ssy to do anything without white intervention. Who do you think policed our neighborhoods when we were segregated, for the most part? We did, the white police sure didn’t, they just abused us. It definitely is possible to handle our own trash and, concerning black bodies, there will be many more than if we don’t do something about it ourselves.
