Nothing surprising about that. There are plenty of ways for 2 educated/hard-hustling adults to make at least 50 grand a piece. But I got a problem with someone calling that anything but middle class today. Upper class in my mind would be starting at closer to $200 grand household income, in a lower cost of living area.Something about this seems suspicious, I just can't put my finger on it.

A.) I don't trust the numbers the way they're being laid out
B.) A household making 100k is middle class at best and if that's the gauge for whatever they're being called then a lot of people aren't actually living well when taxes and cost of living are factored in.
C.) When have I not ever cared about the plight of people in particular the poor? You're making it sound like I'm some hardcore capitalist extolling the virtues of Austrian economics here. I'm not.

This is just stupid. The cost of living and inflation has raised to a point where 100k is no longer middle class in states like NY, CA, and more to come.
If we made 100k in the 90's I would agree but that just is not the case. I would say 200k is the standard going forward given the inflation and cost of living increases and even then in Cali that aint comfortable
