PDA is corny to me. No need to broadcast to the entire world your in "love". Would you broadcast the fact that somebody broke your heart? Nah, I didn't think so.

Who said anything about being in 'love'? Y'all think holding a female's hand means you 'love' her?

People are becoming more cowardly than they've ever been. :yeshrug:

 at kissing and holding hands being anywhere on the same level

i stated holding hands also

Yeah, but kissing is waaaaaaaay more 'affectionate' than just holding her hand. You do that in private or under special circumstances in public if y'all are 'feelin' each other in that way. It just seems that showing ANY form of interest/affection towards a female is seen as a negative when, for all intents and purposes, holding her hand is just about as 'affectionate' as holding a door open for her.

Me and my wife hold hands every now and then but the thing is....the shyt makes walking uncomfortable cause I walk fast and she's slower than I am when it comes to walking.

If we hold hands, it's usually from the parking lot to the store but we not about to be in Publix all boo'd up and what not. Not to say we won't do some form or quick PDA, but for the most part PDA is the last thing on my mind in public :manny:

You are rare. The majority of men express the same sentiments exhibited in the thread thus far. They feel it is unnecessary. I personally do not like PDA, but I always seem to attract the guys that do like to hold hands and kiss in public. Makes me uncomfortable.

That's all it has to be. The shyt is almost insignificant, but peeps act like it should NEVER happen.

Okay, let me rephrase it. I don't think it's necessary to be broadcasting that you're in a relationship. But again that's me though.

The only person who actually cares about it is the person whose hand you're holding. Everyone else can kick rocks. It ain't about 'broadcasting' your relationship, but treating a woman like a woman.

:ehh: why does it make you uncomfortable? Is there a "certain way" it could be done to make it feel uncomfortable to you?

Yep and it's not EVERYTIME we go to the store but it's usually when you least expect it, which makes it even more affectionate, or when you FEEL the vibe between y'all kind of making it more sentimental. We don't do it just to "do it" sort to speak.

So, does that mean you would feel uncomfortable if he held a door open for you, pulled out your chair for dinner, opened the car door for you upon entry/exit?

Do women even want to be treated like women anymore?

I am an introvert. In my experience, the men seem to do it to "lay claim" on me when they see other men look at me. I do not mind if it is spontaneous and genuine. I still prefer it be infrequent though.
