I mean, he's 19. He can't legally own a handgun anyway (gotta be 21) he was drinking illegally, and admitted to smoking marijuana. He's was going to do a bid. No diversion, no probation. There's really no endgame for him. He might as well of emptied that mag. Only difference for him is the amount of years. He could've killed an officer and got life or got smoked himself. There's no happy ending for him. He isnt/wasnt going to do 20 years then come out and do community help programs for at risk citizens.
