Rereading the first book. If only Ned listened to renly and took his help. Ned would still live, the realm would have been spared war, and joff would have been brought up right away from cersi. Stanis would still be mad cause renly would be elevated and tywin would be mad but he won't start anything cause his grandson would be ned's ward

People shyt on Renly but I honestly think Ned backing him would have been pretty clean. The Tyrells are a good family (except for dumbass Mace), they had Randyll Tarly who's actually good at keeping order.

I'm not accounting for Varys and Littlefinger though. Y'all think they would have scrambled that shyt if Ned decided to back Renly?

I think Varys and Littlefinger were going to do their own things regardless. People shyt on Renly, but he really was down for the little people - even in the show he was chatting up all sorts of lowborns, knowing their names and personal details. Dude was fair too, he let Brianne become a member of his Rainbow Guard () when she laid the smackdown on his boyfriend, which seemed pretty alright.

His downfall was letting the Tyrell's gas him up about being king. Renly should've joined forces with Ned to put Stannis on the throne and kept on being an advisor, that would've neutralized all the dirty game players and brought some kind of order to the realm.

Ramsey's a real low down piece of shyt, but in the show he's my real low down piece of shyt. Gotta respect a dude who goes in shirtless to a fight with some boxcar hobo looking island neanderthals. Reminds me of this dude at the park who'd dunk on nikkas while wearing no shoes on a 90 degree day.

I can't do nothing but salute that nikka in the show - he literally had the face when he saw it was about to get active in them kennels. The nikka Ramsey lives for this shyt

I would change Roose Bolton if I casted for the show. Everytime I read the books, I keep picturing this dude (Mads Mikkelsen) in my head as Roose. They kinda changed up the character for the show but, in the books, Roose is this very soft spoken dude but, a psychopath. The kinda dude who would have chopped up bodies in his dungeons (like flaying people alive )

The artwork almost looks like Mads too

He'd need contacts but I wouldn't mind a cast change to Mads either... I wish there was more info on Roose. Dude is weird as fukk.

Those two have their uses and Ned would keep them around till they got out of line. Varys would last longer than little finger, cause varys wants to keep things calm and peaceful till dany is old enough. That goal would be fine with Ned
