I got some voodoo/deep south hoodoo stories that would make for interesting threads in there

People are wild when it comes to beliefs

Yeah, I have a few stories I can share but not for the bullshyt derailing. These stories are close to heart and could help someone. Not against hearing a difference of opinion tho as long as the motives are right.

why not just use Higher Learning?

nobody checks there because its basically all politics and debates and shyt

but a specific forum for ppl looking to better themselves and others / advice i think that'd get a lot of traffic

whenever I ask a question related to careers and opportunities I get in depth answers and even PMs, im grateful af and I know many posters will wanna help brehs who are trying to be succesful

I'd assume cook and brook would rather have such discussions be contained here or on Higher Learning or The Root then having to create a new subsection

Wont work unless the mod is an Atheist...otherwise it will descend into chaos and persecution or a hotbed of fundamentalism when one faction ends up dominating....

The mod would have to be able to maintain the chaos that would ensue. ...with fairness....no matter their beliefs

Plus it could include a breadth of topics and religions not just the big 3 Abrahamic religions

So many posters here claim to be non-theists, diests, agnostics, etc.

Also on the spiritual side....could discuss mediation, chakras, eastern philosophies, buddhism, voodoo, paganism...it's pretty limitless

Nah, the atheists that storm into any and every thread now pertaining to religion would ruin it.

the atheists who have their mind made up that there's no god shouldnt even be there

i mean I dont go into the salon and start arguing with women about the stuff they talk about because thats just pathetic and pointless

That would be nice as long as the Christians and Muslims dont end up shutting those down since they consider them "satanic" haram"...im not sure they would be entirely willing to share a platform especially if they have the numbers on their side.

Thats why i said the mod would have to be an atheist so everyone would get a chance...and everyone's beliefs can be respected/disrespected equally

I agree, but if people are serious about discussing religion, they wouldn't post it in TLR to begin with.

All you have to do is look at The Race Track/The Roots and you will see the future of any sub-forum on this site. Race is the #1 topic on this site but the sub-forum is slow.

From the beginning of this site, I've said 3 things.
1. The needed a female section (They totally missed the boat on this.)
2. Send all the TLR troll threads to JBO because that's were they belong.
3. Make a sub-forum in JBO for porn so the troll posters don't disrupt the porn viewers.
