Nothing wrong with owning a suite that's not what OP is saying. As a black man you're told to dress and act a certain to please white people though. Dreadlocks just started becoming acceptable in the workplace. Black women still can't wear natural hair in the office.

Can't cosign this bruh. Black people's situation right now requires us to compete in the economy handle business. When you wanna be taken seriously in the biz arena you're gonna have to dress the part. Don't get me wrong a suit aint everything but if its gonna help create job opportunities and wealth for me and mine imma wear it.

Now when you've already made your success you dress how you want. Rich people wear what they want. If you up and coming its gonna be hard to make connections just wearing whatever. thats how the game goes.

Outside of that, there are certain times to wear a suit. A wedding, a funeral, or a fancy occasion. Not really appeasing the man at those events.
