let's come and appreciate one of the greatest hip hop groups of all time and quite possibly or arguably the best group of the 90's (outside of the wu-tang), a tribe called quest

i've gone back and forth between the low end theory and midnight marauders bein' my favorite tribe album

here lately it's been all about midnight marauders though

my top 5 favorite tribe songs are (in no order)

sucka nikka
jazz (we've got)
electric relaxation
vibes and stuff
8 million stories

dammit, that's 5 songs and there's still so many more songs by tribe that are favorites of mine that i love that's a testament to their greatness

My favorite group of all time

Midnight is my second favorite album of all time behind Mecca And the Soul Brother. The Love Movement does indeed knock. Lots of hate/mailaise for the last two albums, but I'm already an SV/Dilla stan so no qualms there.

i was watchin' tribe's beats, rhymes and life: the travels of a tribe called quest documentary the other night on vh1 classic (i think it was) and it reminded that i still ain't buy this documentary. it was very well done
