This has been a decent year for music and Tribe is ending it really fukking well.

This and Solange album been dope to me....Frank Ocean dissapointed.

Then we get a Tribe album acting like Love Movement didnt happen and they've all been chilling in the studio since 96!

What in the fukk is going on??

for me its de la then tribe .. but they're interchangeable... its minor percentage points separating them in my book .. 99.999996 to 99.999995 .. LOL

De La consistency, releasing albums during the past 18 yrs and not breaking up is what puts them ahead

I think he said "cultural impact", which doesn't necessarily make them better than De La. I would rank De La as a better group. But Tribe is the first universally respected rap group to have that Benetton ad fanbase. De La is behind them in that aspect because they weren't as "normal", but not far behind.

you nikkas need to chill with the overreactions just cuz it's Tribe

lyrically it's on point, Jarobi is actually a real contributor and he's not bad.

sonically tho, this is not the album I hoped for. It's not as lush as previous offerings and there's not enough thump for my tastes.

this sounds like a Q-TIp album more than anything, and it's more along the vibe and direction of his solo albums than anything in Tribe's catalog. and even then the drums as a whole don't hit as hard as they do on some of Q TIp's solo shyt

I really expected and hoped for more songs like Conrad Tokyo

maybe I need to give it a few more listens, but I get the same kind of feeling I did when I listened to De La's new shyt that everybody was lying to themselves about. shyt is only aight brehs
right today, it's my least favorite Tribe album

neg me if you want, or do so when negs get brought back. but I know i'm not the only one who feels like this. as a longtime fan of over two decades I feel let down
