Breh, you only deal with products that are very high in demand. Samsung, Apple, PlayStation products/games.

If you are trying to flip for just a few under what it costs retail you are doing it all wrong. The best way to do it is to try to buy off someone desperate or something that needs to be fixed. Fix it and flip it.
I've long since discovered that outside of things like cars, iPads, current gen game consoles, and cell phones Craigslist is not the place to go selling stuff.

High ticket consumer electronics like TVs don't sell for much of anything on there. I had a TV I paid $1500 for and I couldn't get better than a $500 offer for it several months after the fact when it was outside the return period and I got a better deal on a better TV. I ended up just keeping it. damn thing is just sitting around my apartment not being used and hasn't been used in probably 7 months.

Dude was on there selling some twice used SMS Audio headphones. He wanted $100 for them and I told him I'd give him $60. He said Nah and the next day he's texting me back saying I can get them. Mind you these sell for $160 on Amazon right now and were authentic. I didn't even want them just wanted to see would he move them at that price.

I had a YAS101 soundbar that was selling for $250 new at the time I listed it on Craigslist. I asked for $120. Best offer I got was $60 and I could do a 35 minute drive to Saginaw Michigan so dude could test and buy it off me. Needless to say that soundbar is still siting in my closet not in use and hasn't been used in about a year. I'm not taking those type of losses. I'll keep it and when I get a house use it again.

You don't bother with things that can easily be replaced by an alternative. It gets too competitive. Good luck with the soundbar, it doesn't matter the quality...the fact is that it can easily fill that other person's needs. Same goes for television...that's a waste of time IMO. People generally don't care about contrast ratio or any of that other nerd shyt as long as it meets very loose requirements for them. HDMI Ports, 1080P, etc etc.

You are mentioning things that can be satisfied with cheaper alternatives...so I can tell you have tried. It has to be in high demand and a product that nobody else can make. I will never touch android phones outside of Samsung phones because people love those things...it is THE android phone to sell quickly. I can tell people that I think the HTC One line is better than the Samsung Galaxy line until I pass out, but it won't mean anything. One they are both android phones, two? Samsung is more popular. Waste of time.

The average Craigslist buyer is ignorant of actual quality or specs on a product. I guess the problem is the kinda people that can afford to spend close tor $1000 on a TV are buying them new at stores not off Craigslsit. In the end Craigslist is a place where you people go to pay bottom dollar on stuff.

That Sony was a 46HX850. Pretty much the best rated LCD TV released that year outside the HX950 which was the better deal I got on a 55 inch one. All the extra features and picture quality were lost on the Craigslist buyers. All they cared about was how big was the screen and how cheap I'd go on it.

I see people trying to sell high end stuff on CL all the time. Many of them ask for fair market value on it and it doesn't sell. Its a great place to go looking to buy something dirt cheap or sell something that didn't really cost you much of anything or sell something you wanna dump off for whatever you can get ASAP but it's not a place to expect fair market value on stuff. Kinda sad.

How u think I ate good when people were selling Xbox 360 rrods for pennies? Nah, but seriously it amazes me how people are so dependent on electronic devices yet are not willing to put the time to troubleshoot and solve simple problems. Especially since the innanetz has every solution.

Pawn shops been operating like this since the beginning.

Dude i don't know where you find people that still sell their messed up stuff for cheap. Over here in Ohio, its a business for many people to wait for such an opportunity and other are left with the crumbs. Where are you from?

You have to know when to look. Near the end of the month until about the 7th of the month is the prime spot. That's when people need to get rid of stuff for cash and get desperate.

Get an auto refresher for your browser. Pick like 4-5 items you know you can buy cheap even if they are broken. Message quickly, if you email people within the hour of something goes up your chances of buying it are greater because the thought of money is still very fresh in their mind.

Know how to negotiate, if they feel like you are low balling them just let them know that if they sold it on eBay or Amazon they will have to ship and get charged fees as well instead of getting cash in minutes. Try to barter as well, I could have essentially bought an Xbox one for $50 if I sought to trade the iMac for it. I know I could have had someone bite because macs are viewed as premium items even if they are older.

I deal in the central Kentucky area.

It used to be much easier when i was in Iowa but Ohio is such a technical State that it's like waiting to put your hands in the cookie jar against hundreds of other waiting for the same opportunity..Thanks for all the tip though..
