I've long since discovered that outside of things like cars, iPads, current gen game consoles, and cell phones Craigslist is not the place to go selling stuff.Breh, you only deal with products that are very high in demand. Samsung, Apple, PlayStation products/games.
If you are trying to flip for just a few under what it costs retail you are doing it all wrong. The best way to do it is to try to buy off someone desperate or something that needs to be fixed. Fix it and flip it.
High ticket consumer electronics like TVs don't sell for much of anything on there. I had a TV I paid $1500 for and I couldn't get better than a $500 offer for it several months after the fact when it was outside the return period and I got a better deal on a better TV. I ended up just keeping it. damn thing is just sitting around my apartment not being used and hasn't been used in probably 7 months.
Dude was on there selling some twice used SMS Audio headphones. He wanted $100 for them and I told him I'd give him $60. He said Nah and the next day he's texting me back saying I can get them. Mind you these sell for $160 on Amazon right now and were authentic. I didn't even want them just wanted to see would he move them at that price.
I had a YAS101 soundbar that was selling for $250 new at the time I listed it on Craigslist. I asked for $120. Best offer I got was $60 and I could do a 35 minute drive to Saginaw Michigan so dude could test and buy it off me. Needless to say that soundbar is still siting in my closet not in use and hasn't been used in about a year. I'm not taking those type of losses. I'll keep it and when I get a house use it again.
