That is tough to narrow down and there is a lot of chance involved.

If it was fairly recently then there is a good chance that the person who dropped the liquid on it didn't try using it for long after the accident. The quicker you can get to it the quicker you can clean up the mess and stop it from further damaging the rest of the unit.

If you are dealing with laptops there is a chance you can recover spare parts such as the HDD/SSD, ram, socketed cpu, Bluetooth/WiFi module etc

It used to be much easier when i was in Iowa but Ohio is such a technical State that it's like waiting to put your hands in the cookie jar against hundreds of other waiting for the same opportunity..Thanks for all the tip though..

Where are you in Ohio? Cincinnati and Columbus probably has the most competition. I think you might be able to do well in Cleveland

I'm in Columbus. I searched every city that is allowed on craigslist in Ohio and so does my competition..I might have to expand out this state to make extra cash.

I can't really drive to them if they are beyond Columbus area so i might just do a thing where i'll pay for standard shipping for them if they send the items to me..

This is not typical, but just showing what can be done when you are good with fixing things or when people are desperately trying to get rid of something. I don't even live in a good craigslist area...I would make a killing back home in NY or San Fran/L.A. Those needing extra side money need to look into this. I will admit I am in a good position being that I don't hold a traditional 9-5 through the week and have several parts laying around to be able to fix things quickly.

Steals of the week:
Post for an "iMac G5" turned out to be an intel iMac with overheating issues - $50 - fixed and sold for $350

Like New condition "Broken" Mid 2012 MacBook Pro for parts (Liquid Spill) - $100, cleaned and sold for $750

Unlocked iPhone 5S cracked screen - $125 + $50 for new screen, sold for $375

White 2010 MacBook in like new condition - $200, Sold for $400

Total Gained - $1,350 for about 10 hours of "work"

I used to do this a lot back in like 04-06. Buy fukked up blackberries, sidekicks etc, change the housing, screen, order 3-4pc accessory kits for $10, unlock & sell overseas for $100-200 profit each. This is before ebay started raping nikkas
