He had to have had theface when he was finally realized he could get open dunks cuz of Steph and he didn’t have to drive and finish against 3 people.
We have his bird rights, so I think we can match. I'd love to keep him if possible, I could give a sh*t about Lacob's money...

The new stadium is going to be printing money when fans are allowed back in so Lacob better pay up![]()

Golden State shelling out money to keep Oubre wouldn’t be shocking, even if it would result in a historic tax payout. The Warriors obtained Oubre’s Bird rights in the trade, meaning that even though they’re way over the salary cap and can only offer minimum contracts and exceptions to free agents outside of the organization, they can extend any offer to Oubre in free agency, all the way up to a maximum contract.
They would have to trade Wiggins first I think

Only would have to trade Wiggins if Lacob doesn't want to pay money out of his own pickets (luxury tax). There is nothing preventing us back from keeping both. They would have to trade Wiggins first I think
Yea but that’s asking a lot of lacobOnly would have to trade Wiggins if Lacob doesn't want to pay money out of his own pickets (luxury tax). There is nothing preventing us back from keeping both.

Essentially, warriors can match or pay Oubre any offer but it is very expensive. Oubre's current contract is about 14.5 million. If he wants 20 a year, it would cost ownership over 100 million a year in tax+salary for that contract alone. To put that into prospective , that is more expensive than 9 team's total salary this year. We probably will only keep one of wiggins or Oubre at the end of year.
correct, I believe Warriors can pay the most but Oubre can also choose to go elsewhere for less money if there's a choice between the 2.
lacob swallowed the pill this year, i dont see that happening again considering the cap implications. From reddit:
