The fact you think Draymond Green is still a part of this championship core says a lot about your basketball IQ :mjlol:

You still think the Warriors should’ve taken that Euro trash in Washington :mjlol:

Draymond’s contract will be the reason the window closes. He wasn’t worth the money then and damn sure isn’t worth it now. On top of that, he’s now a Klutch mole (much like Trezz was last year for the Clippers) so he will never show up against his boss Lebron whenever it counts.
It's clear who Golden State should have selected. LaMelo Ball.

Also that Bulls offer is better than what they have now too (reportedly it was Carter Jr + 4th Pick for the 2nd Pick)

Lamelo definitely looks like the better player long term, and I think he would play well with Steph but you can’t have two defensive liabilities on the floor at the same time for long stretches. Even with the best defensive player in the history of basketball behind them (according to @Gil Scott-Heroin)

Also, Kerr wouldn’t let him cook the way he’s doing in Charlotte, so I think ultimately it would’ve been about fit. I still think Wiseman will be a very good player. He’s basically straight out of high school trying to learn the pro game on the fly with no summer league, preseason or training camp. Lamelo at least had a pro basketball foundation

It woulda been awesome to watch Ball shine in Golden State and then when Klay returns next year, watch him get demoted to Shaun Livingston status because they have to justify Wiggins’ salary.

Klay did them a solid too and let em know about the injury on draft day and they still went with a big. And Wiseman could be very good, the question is will it happen in Golden State?

I picked the right game to miss.

:lolbron:

Re: Wiseman compared to several notable players 1st seasons (from reddit):

I'm ok with his progress so far, missing games considered. He's definitely not perfect, but I think we can see improvements in his games. He definitely needs to work on catching the ball though...

I'm still happy with the pick and expect that he'll end up being a great pic for us, but I completely understand the position that @Gil Scott-Heroin has taken. I'm just still on the Wiseman train so I'm hoping he works out regardless. I think he will.

steph, klay, and Wiggins make a combined 110m... not having draymond doesn’t free up usable cap space, and just makes us a bottom 5 defense

Steph can't approach these games vs elite teams with that "everybody eats" mentality, a game can be lost in the 1st quarter if Wiggins and Oubre not built for the moment. Dude gotta be more aggressive in the 1st and hunt for his shot more.

I agree with this, the team (everyone but Steph) are better off playing off him, not the other way around.

David West needs to talk to Steph again...

some of the Wiseman hate on here is beyond irrational :francis:

people throw the term unicorn around too freely these days but I think his ceiling is ridiculously high and even at his age and limited experience he does things most guys his size can't do. He's shown flashes thus far and I'm of the belief he's gonna be a monster. :manny:

Dubs may be in win now mode but at the same time I think the braintrust, Kerr, and even some of the older players can look at the Spurs as a template to keep on developing high picks and potentially extend their careers and win more championships down the line. :ehh:

At least that's what I'd like to see. Don't mortgage a potentially bright future to win immediately and subsequently relegate yourself to the trash heap again for years on end. :yeshrug:

Can you imagine having Steph and Klay coming off the bench (years from now)?
